In Q4 2021, With partnered with the company to exploit media attention around ‘peak season’ to help enhance ZigZag’s reputation as a go-to source for retail data and break into the Tier 1 National media, simultaneously raising the profile of CEO and Founder Al Gerrie.

Following an in-depth deep dive session with ZigZag’s data team, With created a high-frequency plan for multiple waves of data-led news stories using ZigZag’s proprietary data. In rapid-fire over 2 months, we issued stories covering predictions for Black Friday, record £ levels for Cyber Monday returns, the impact of the pandemic and multiple lockdowns on Christmas purchasing behaviour and what this would look like for 2021. Cutting our data further we identified the panic buying ‘peak’, and coordinated a national media visit to a warehouse processing ‘The 12 Returns of Christmas’, identifying the time, value and product that was the first item to be returned on boxing day for a national feature. This earned ZigZag scores of coverage across national (The Times, The Daily Mail, The Guardian) Broadcast (BBC R4 You & Yours) and numerous features in trade media.
